The touted ‘Economic Messiah’ has turned to a Digital expert. Considering the amount of suffering, fuel price increases, and the excessive borrowing of the Nana Akufo-Addo-Dr. Bawumia-led government, Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga Central, thinks the country’s economy has reached a point of no return.

According to him, the next budget should provide a way out to reassure investors who are intending to sell their bonds and leave the nation.
Isaac Adongo, speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ Morning Show, said the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government is unable to keep its many promises to Ghanaians due to a lack of cash.
He was perplexed, however, as to why Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who has portrayed himself as the country’s “economic saviour,” has suddenly become silent on the economy and has instead shifted his focus to an area of digitization in which he has no knowledge.
He stated that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is no longer interested in the country’s ailing economy, but has instead discovered his passion for digitalization, citing Ghana Post, Interoperability, and paperless transactions as examples of other people’s ideas.
” . . Dr Bawumia has run away from touted economic expertise to talk about Ghana Post, Interoperability and Paperless transactions at the Port, but the actual economic prowess he was touted for which Ghanaians trusted him for has been abandoned,” he said.
“You are rather fronting the achievements of others but the economy that you studied and rose to the point of a lecturer and a doctorate, you have stopped talking about it. Dr Bawumia is now championing someone’s brainchild called digitization; he is taking credit for a blueprint he did not develop,” he chided.
As usual the opposition is excited for this ‘punch line’ against the Vice president. The NPP supporters think that the MP doesn’t know what he is saying. They say, a digital economy is the way to go.
